Scottish law smoke detection in homes
Recent changes in the law and standards mean that all homes in Scotland (owned & rented) must now have improved smoke and fire protection.
Every home in Scotland must have:
- a smoke alarm in the living room and all circulation spaces such as hallways and landings
- a heat alarm in every kitchen
- all alarms should be ceiling mounted and interlinked
- a carbon monoxide alarm where there are fixed combustion appliances (boilers & wood burners)
We can assist our commercial clients with automatic fire detection systems for their properties.
